Description: The International Pharmaceutical Students\\\\\\\' Federation (IPSF) is a global network of pharmacy student organisations that represents the interests of all pharmacy students across the world.
IPSF has more than 50 pharmacy student organisations across the globe. The Student Exchange Programme (SEP) is one of the longest projects run by IPSF member organisations and is one of the most popular.
Through this programme, pharmacy students who must be members of IPSF are given the opportunity to experience pharmacy and a different culture in another country.

Member associations of IPSF organise these exchanges by finding host sites where pharmacy students are trained. The programme runs throughout the year, but the majority of the exchanges occur over the months of July to September each year. These exchanges can range from 2 weeks to 3 months in duration.

Possible areas of exchange include:
  • community pharmacy
  • hospital pharmacy
  • industrial pharmacy
  • research
  • academic
  • government or regulatory agencies
The host may provide room, board and/or remuneration but this varies from host to host.
