Description:
MA program in American Studies and Mass Media comprises various disciplinary areas dealing with the United States of America in transatlantic and global contexts. The emphasis is put on the relations and influences exerted by the United States on international politics, world economy, mass media, and mass culture. Our graduates are well equipped with skills which are in demand by employers, such as English language and communication skills, familiarity with political, social, cultural and economic realities of the USA, the largest economy in the world and a world leader in developing new technologies and innovative solutions in advertising, political campaigning, and e-business. According to our records, our graduates find employment in government agencies, (e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs), advertising and PR agencies, newspapers, magazines, radio and TV stations.

Description:
Graduates of Master's Programme in International Gender Studies possess broad knowledge in the fields of international organizations, human rights, minority policies, the functioning of mass media and their impact on socio-political life. They command an advanced and critical knowledge of contemporary gender theories, apply different theoretical perspectives in the analysis of gender issues and critically scrutinize different standpoints and feminist empirical evidence through reasoned and coherent argument, demonstrating the awareness of themselves as situated experts. They are recognized as specialists of equal opportunity policies, with particular regard to policies enforced by the European Commission, but also, they are prepared to deploy them in the Polish context. As a result, they are able to provide valuable assistance in the development of many projects funded by the European Community. Since the teaching programme includes also practical coaching in applying for work at the European Commission, they can apply for positions at the EC. Moreover, being fluent in English (both spoken and written), and having acquired the ability to combine knowledge from various areas, they may be employed in the media as well as institutions dealing with socio-cultural issues.

GEMMA Erasmus Mundus Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that provides high quality academic education and professional competences for students wanting to conduct further research, and personnel working or intending to work, in the areas of Women's Studies, Gender Studies and Equal Opportunities. GEMMA is a master of excellence supported by the European Commission which selected it as Erasmus Mundus from within 160 project proposals for 2006. It is, herefore, the first Erasmus Mundus Master in Women's and Gender Studies in Europe. GEMMA provides the added value of mobility between two of the seven participating European universities and the unique possibility to obtain a double Master´s diploma from both the Home and Mobility institution. GEMMA Partner Universities: University of Granada (Spain, Coordinator), University of Bologna (Italy), Central European University (Hungary), University of Hull (United Kingdom), University of Lodz (Poland), University of Oviedo (Spain), University of Utrecht (the Netherlands).

Description:
International Marketing Management is a unique postgraduate scholarly programme dedicated to individuals who wish to strengthen their management skills and bring their knowledge and market experience to up-to-date levels. Its objective is to familiarize the participants with the most recent knowledge in the area of marketing management in the international environment. It was designed to cover the major issues and challenges related to building a company’s international marketing strategy, corporate communications with international stakeholders, corporate finance, project management and other relevant corporate functions (retailing, logistics, media management). All the courses offered are lectured in English which allows the participants to get a firm grip of specialized vocabulary and acquire communication skills necessary to perform successfully within international organizations. The teaching programme consists of 232 hours, which accounts for 26, 8-hour sessions within a year (13 sessions per semester). The programme is divided into four themes/ blocks, all of which are obligatory to all participants. Additional 24 hours are dedicated to individual tutoring during which the participants have the opportunity to ask further questions and discuss the issues related to particular managerial problems. Tutoring blocks are planned after the completion of each individual subject.

Description:
The second level studies’ programme was designed to cover the major issues and challenges related to building a company’s international marketing strategy, corporate communications with international stakeholders, corporate finance, project management and other relevant corporate functions. All the courses offered are lectured in English which allows the participants to get a firm grip of specialized vocabulary and acquire communication skills necessary to perform successfully within international organizations such as business enterprises and public sector institutions. The graduates are prepared to work in international corporations as well as in public administration. They are specialist in areas such as: marketing, public relations, European Funds and international projects management.
