Description:
The object is to offer participants the possibility to progress in their own careers by enabling them to come into contact with the reality of other organizations, as well as to promote the acquisition of different research methodologies in this specific study area.
Learning outcomes:
To use management methods, techniques and instruments that provide students with a conceptual and methodological framework of application through an in-depth interconnection between the most recent theories of management and the best corporate strategies; b) To train managers with specific knowledge and to encourage students to develop their skills in identifying and taking profit from situations around them; c) To develop students’ knowledge and understanding to higher levels.

Description:
Advanced course aiming at developing communication skills in two of four major areas: Journalism and Communication Technologies; or Advertising and Marketing. Students are encouraged to apply theoretical knowledge into elaborate practical skills in those areas of communication. The course is very much directed towards a professionalized media market, with specialized seminars as well as intensive work in communication laboratories. Taking into account that the media system is amidst profound transformations, this course tries to keep up with new developments in the field, giving full attention to the impact of ITCs (Information and Communication Technologies) in different areas. The course includes an internship in major communication companies (according to the specialization chosen by the student).
Learning outcomes:
* understand the functioning of the media system and the working processes and models in two of four major areas of communication (Journalism, Communication Technologies, Adverting, Marketing). * apprehend the importance of multi-tasking in nowadays media markets. * comprehend the complexities of relevant concepts of the new communication paradigm: interactivity, multimedia, convergence, synergy. * assess the specialized functions of different technological tasks (camera, studio lighting, editing and post-editing). * develop knowledge of gathering, formatting, processing and divulging information in several media platforms. * cultivate the ability to perform different tasks in communication agencies or newsrooms. * Use models and tools to develop accurate market situational analysis in order to make marketing decisions. * Develop a comprehensive Marketing Plan (Analysis, Development and Implementation). * Develop and implement a communication strategy and program.

Description:
Advanced course aiming at developing anthropological analytical and research competences, taking into account its specificity and diversity. The course is based on a dynamic teaching method, relating the students to the ongoing research projects of the several professors, either in western and non-western countries. The Master provides not only specialised seminars and team research experience but also the integration of students into Conference programs aiming at tackling Globalization and the new working organizations as challenges to Anthropology.
Learning outcomes:

Description:
Advanced course offering seminars and workshops focused on the transformations that the digital paradigm operates both in Information and Knowledge, articulating the comprehension of theoretical models from Communication and Semiotics with the creative use of Multimedia and Hypermedia applications in the two areas of specialization offered: Education and Hypermedia and Informatic Text and Cyberliterature.
Learning outcomes:

Advanced course aiming at developing cultural, social, economical and political relationship with the Arab and Islamic world, taking into account its specificity and diversity. The course is based on a dynamic teaching method, in partnership with specialised institutes on Arab and Islamic studies in Europe and outside Europe. The Master provides not only specialised seminars, but also the integration of students into research programs. The research team includes specialists in various Middle Eastern fields of study such as: Political Science, International Relations, Law, Economics, and Sociology.

Description:
The Master was developed from a decade at University Fernando Pessoa, together with the Centre de recherches tsiganes (University René Descartes - Paris V) and the research program on Minorities and Citizenship at University Fernando Pessoa. Its main focus consists in giving graduate students the opportunity to be involved in research projects and to prepare for intervention on minorities issues in NGOs, governmental bodies and international organizations.

Description:
The Master in Political Science and International Relations benefits from the experience of a high qualified team of lecturers who are specialized in various areas of political science and international relations such as History, Political Science, Law and Economics. This Master is highly motivating due to the flexibility, effectiveness and applicability of the innovative teaching that concerns the political and international actions, either in the context of enterprises with international activities or in the international organizations frame. The classes are supported by theoretical and tutorial seminars. The development of research projects and practical case studies are also part of the methodology used.
