  International students should find accommodation by themselves. In doing so they are recommended to follow the suggestions given below and to use the available assistance from UHasselt. You can search in the 'Accommodations Database' put together by the Office for Student Affairs of UHasselt. This pool includes student rooms which are let under conditions controlled by the Office for Student Affairs. An important condition is that the lease is restricted to 10 months. (It might prove difficult to rent rooms from this pool for less than 10 months). Other important conditions are safety, price/quality ratio and the use of a standard contract. The address list of rooms in this pool can be obtained on arrival, from the Office for Student Affairs (reception desk of Main Building, open Monday through Thursday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm; Friday 9.00 am to 2.00pm). During the first semester, some rooms are made available by outgoing ERASMUS-students who go abroad during that semester. These rooms are only available to incoming ERASMUS-students. All accommodation is self-catering. Cooking facilities, toilets and showers are mostly available. In most cases, these facilities are shared with other students in the house. All rooms are single and are furnished with the basics (bed, table, chair, cupboard).
