Description:
The faculty of science and letters offers six undergraduate programmes for four years. All programmes in the faculty carry out their scientific research in the light of the contemporaray approach. Students who graduate from the faculty may attend the graduate programs and they may be teachers as well. All programs have 240 ECTS credits annually.

Description:
One of the basic scientific disciplines, Biology is separated a lot of branches such as Molecular Biology, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Histology, Physiology, and Embryology due to having a broad range of research field. Biology is a department doing research at advanced level and working on improving new methods to resolve the problems of the era by using modern technologies. Of the most of the studies of the department is viable in practice. In addition, in recent years, the department has participated in some joint projects especially with the fields of Biotechnology, Agriculture, Physics, and Chemistry to transfer the data obtained from basic science fields to practice to contribute to economy of the country. The Department of Biology co-working with a broad range of scientific disciplines has gained an important place in contributing to the economy of the country by participating this sort of studies.

Description:
Objective of chemstry education programme is to run four year bachelor program based on contemporary approaches. The aims of the program are that teacher candidates are able to; -know and use contemporary assessment and evaluation approaches -design learning environments by means of instructional technologies -use different special teaching methods and techniques in their teaching -follow new developments and innovations in their field.
Learning outcomes:
1. To have advanced level knowledge established on high schools education and understanding ability supported by recent textbooks, application equipments and other scientific resources and to be able to use this knowledge. 2. To inform the experienced and non experienced listener group and transfer the ideas, problems and solution techniques clearly written and orally. 3. To find the solutions by taking the responsibilities in the case of complex situations which can be come across in the applications related to chemistry area. 4. To plan activities and direct them to improve the ability of his or her workers in the chemical industry 5. To have enough knowledge which is necessary for his area about computer hardware, software, data processing and communication and to be able to used them 6. To have knowledge and consciousness for watching the social, scientific and ethical values at the stage of collection of data related to chemistry area, evaluation and publishing them.

Description:
Department of History, Historian conducting a training plan to educate. Also training throughout the program successfully completed the educational formation of students as a teacher of History graduate. Educational programs during the formation of students who do not receive training if they satisfy the minimum requirements after graduation may also receive such training. Program related to general education and required courses include the teaching profession. In addition to core courses in educational plans for students to choose according to their choice of electives are offered the chance. Thus, the Department of History, both individual and groups in the interdisciplinary field of study by defining the problem is to train graduates capable of producing solutions.

Description:
The aim of the Mathematics Department is to educate Mathematicians who are successful, accoutred, have a foreign language to use of getting information, get ability of abstract thinking and thus evaluate the events both professional life and daily life within the reason-results relations through knowledge. Such a that education plan is performed for reaching these target. There are optional lessons which are choosen by student in addition to compulsory lessons at Education Plan.
Learning outcomes:
1)Having the ability to use the related materials about mathematics, constructed on competency, achieved in secondary education and also having the further knowledge equipment. 2)Understanding the advance level studies in Mathematic and having the ability of research to get sources and methods in short way for these studies. 3)Approaching the current event in daily life with mathematical aspects, solving the events of reducing them to simple terms, doing discussions and improving suggestions propped up proofs and inquiries 4)Using the informatics and communication tecnology together with the knowledge of computer software in so far as a Mathematician neeeds. 5)Evaluating the events both professional life and daily life within the reason-results relations through knowledge, and generating different solution way to these events 6)Using the ability of abstract thinking and seeing the events with different points. 7)Having social, scientific, professional and ethic assets in the phases of getting knowledge, using these knowledges in a right manner and sharing them with someone else. 8)Following up the the current knowledge of Mathematic, interpreting the developments and sharing them with his(her) professioal collegaues and having the competency of getting across with them within a foreign language.

Description:
Department of Physics Students get the opportunity to work as a teacher in national educational institutions when they have also finished pedagogical training given throughout the program. Those who did not get pedagogical training during the program, if they provide the minimum requirements, can also get the training after graduation. While beeing an independent on its own branch of basic science, Department of Physics contributes to other branches. In recent years, joint work with other basic sciences are increasing in number. Physics constitutes an important place during the application and technological process of the basic science studies. Department of Physcis provides benefits about the evaluation, enrichment and transferring into literature of the findings of the departments engaged in basic research in Faculty of Art and Science such as Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Department of Physics trains graduates who can identify problems in their fields and provide solutions for them by performing interdisciplinary studies both individually and in groups.
