ASSOCIATE DEGREE – UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE
Requirements in registration to faculties and colleges of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University are below: Being a graduate of a High School or an equal Vocational High School; for those who graduated from foreign high schools, an equivalency should be approved by Turkish Ministry of Education,
Being qualified to register to the faculties and colleges of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University in that academic year, or having required score for that academic year and requirements to register to the unit that admit students by pre-registration in the result of National Student Selection Exam (ÖSS) or Foreign Students Exam (YÖS),
Having the required documents provided by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Re-registration, add and drop process of courses are done by accessing to Automation Program between the dates stated in academic calendar of Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University within five working days.
To re-register and take courses, the tuition fee should be paid. Students who do not have valid excuse and re-register in stated period, cannot attend courses and take courses in that academic year or semester. Students have to register courses in the beginning of each semester.
Within the framework of Student Exchange Programs, students can be sent abroad to study for one or two semesters according to national and international agreements such as European Union, Socrates-Erasmus-Bologna etc. Registrations of these students are counted one or two semesters as in their home institution.
These students are responsible for the courses they take in foreign university they study instead of the courses they have to take in their own department of home institution. The selection of these courses are made by the help of their adviser and are formally charged after the recommendation of the department and confirmation of faculty Management.
Grades of these courses are evaluated according to 25th matter of the guide line instructions. Within the exchange program, students who come from foreign universities to study, are in charge of these instructions and given a transcript of records for the courses they take.
Any student who wants to increase the average academic grade, retakes two of the courses he/she succeeded conditionally or successfully at most. The last taken grade is recognized in calculating average academic grade (CGPA). Students can drop the courses they take in the following two weeks under the survey of their advisers. New courses can be taken instead of dropped courses on condition that the passing time is counted as unattended. Optional courses which are not dropped in the first two weeks, are processed as compulsory courses. However, if the course in which the student fails is not opened in the following semester he/she selects another course.
In double major programs; students of the program/department; can at the same time follow the courses of another department in or out of their faculty/college, courses of which are close to the main department of the student.
The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is informed about registration office and registration is conducted by departments in accordance with dates determined by YÖK.
GRADUATE DEGREE
Students who apply for postgraduate programs are required to have a bachelor degree diploma, to have been attended to ALES carried out by ÖSYM and to have got at least 55 score from the field he/she applies for.
Students of Fine Arts Faculty and Conservatoire are not required to have any ALES score. Foreign students are required to have Turkish Proficiency and ALES scores.
Within the framework of agreements in order to educate academicians, students come from Turkish Republics and communities and foreign universities, are admitted to postgraduate programs without any exam according to the acceptance of the department on their field after learning Turkish language adequately.
Scores that will be accepted in admission of students to postgraduate programs with thesis, are %60 of ALES and %40 of student’s bachelor degree average grade. The total score cannot be less than 55. Candidates are ranged from top score to the least. In the end of the range, qualified candidates are selected and announced by the institution. In the case of equivalency of scores the candidate whose ALES score and bachelor degree average grade higher is selected. These evaluation conditions are also recognized for foreign students.
Students who completed at least one semester of another higher education institution in an equal postgraduate program, can be admitted by lateral transfer, however this is not possible if the student is on thesis stage. For lateral transfer, conditions on applying the concerned postgraduate program are recognized.
Students within the framework of exchange programs such as Erasmus, Bologna and Farabi are admitted to postgraduate programs. Registration is applied by the student personally within five days before the beginning of education if there is no valid excuse of the student accepted by the institution.
Course registration is done within the first five days of each semester. Students who do not register in that period, lose their right to attend. Students who are registered to postgraduate programs, without regarding their stage of study have to refresh their registrations with tuition fee within the dates determined by the institution.
ADMİSSİON REQUİREMENTS FOR FOREİGN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Certified English or Turkish translation of your diploma (if available) (your original diploma and a certificate showing equivalency to the Turkish high school diploma will be requested at registration),
Certified English or Turkish translation of your transcript (the document, approved by the school administration showing high school courses taken and grades received by the applicant),
Certified English or Turkish translation of your national ID card or passport,
A copy of your TÖMER exam results (if available) indicating Turkish proficiency One passport size photo (4.5cm x 6 cm), Having Certified English or Turkish translation of one of the test results (if any) listed below:
7.1. Gold, silver and bronze medals taken from International Science, art and sport Olympiads and competitions recognized by related Turkish authorities,
7.2. YÖS (Examination for Foreign Students) Basic Learning Skills test score,
7.3. TCS (Turkish Republics with Turks and Related Communities Test) score,
7.4. SAT I (Scholastic Assessment Test) score of at least 1000 total points and a Math score,
7.5. ACT (American College Test) Math, Science Reasoning and Composite score,
7.6. GCE (General Certificate Education) test with at least 3 subjects related to the department to which you are applying,
7.7. International Baccalaureate diploma grade,
7.8. German ABITUR test score,
7.9. French Baccalaureate diploma grade,
7.10. Matura diploma grade,
7.11. Tawjihi of Jordan and Palestine test score,
7.12. Lebanese Baccalaureate (Baccalaureate Libanais) diploma grade,
7.13. Al-Shahada al-Thanawiyya (Baccalaureate) of Syria test score,
7.14. High School Diploma of Iran (Diploma Debirestan),
7.15. National University Test of Kazakhstan score,
7.16. Gaokaonda-University Entrance Exam of the Peoples Republic of China score,
7.17. Besides the above listed exams, applicants may be evaluated by Agri İbrahim Cecen University based on their high school diploma grade and university entrance exam results from their countries.
The validity period of exams taken upon completion of high school (Abitur, International Baccalaureate, GCE, Tawjihi, etc.) is unlimited. However, the results of other university entrance exams (SAT I and ACT) and YÖS are valid for only two years.
APPLİCATİON EVALUATİONS
The evaluation of applications and the placement of applicants will be carried out by the Agrı Ibrahim Cecen University Admissions Committee.
The Admissions Committee may accept some applicants who have fulfilled the requirements after preliminary consideration.
Applicants without any test results, if considered appropriate, will be called to take the International Students Entrance Exam. Students without Turkish language proficiency certificate will be examined by our university since language of instruction for the courses will be mostly Turkish except for the erasmus courses, taught in English.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS
The names of accepted candidates will be announced on the universitys web site and applicants will be notified online. Students who confirm the notification will be sent a letter of acceptance via mail and online. Applicants must then present their acceptance letter, together with all other required forms, to the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in their countries to receive a student visa.
REGİSTRATİON
Students admitted to our university must register in person at the date specified below by the Student Affairs Office. Registration cannot be done via mail. You must bring the following documents with you for registration:
1.Original copy of your lycee diploma and its translated English or Turkish copy certified by the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your country,
2.A Certificate of Equivalency for your high school diploma: a certificate issued either by the Ministry of National Education of Turkey or the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your country indicating that your high school diploma is equivalent to Turkish lycee diploma,
3.Original copy of test results submitted in application and its English or Turkish translation certified by the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your country,
4. A certified Turkish translation of your passport,
5. Twelve passport size (4.5 cm x 6 cm) photos,
6. A photocopy of your student visa obtained from the Turkish Embassy or Consulate in your country.
To complete the registration, international students must obtain their Residence Permit from the Foreign Branch of the Agrı Police Department and submit photocopies of the relevant pages to the Student Affairs Office.

INFORMATION ABOUT UNIVERSITY RECOGNITION PROCEDURES
In accordance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) our University, Faculties/Vocational High Schools have determined 30 credits per term and 60 credits in total that based on workload. With a valid bilateral agreement and learning agreement prepared prior to the mobility between partner universities and Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, the incoming students upon completion of their studies at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University automatically get a Transcript of Records. It is the partner institutions responsibility to give the students full academic recognition of credits taken at Ağrı İbrahim çeçen University After successful completion of the study abroad with presenting his/her transcript, the earned credits will be fully recognized as agreed between the student and departments authorities prior to commerce of the exchange programme.
